ERP-Enabled Business Transformation Recovery
The Case
Background and Challenge: PE-owned cloud-focused business software and services company decided to implement their own ERP across Finance, Human Resources & Professional Service Functions. The first attempt at the programme failed, and when the second hit problems, our founding partner was drafted in to lead the recovery as Global Programme Director with a remit to remediate the implementation of an ERP and the co-terminus outsourcing of Finance and HR.
Approach and Recommendations: After an initial review of the programme, it was recommended to and approved by the Executive Steering Committee to reset the programme into a new structure that combined the Operating Model, ERP Template and BPO for the entire Finance, HR & Professional Service Programme with the creation of an overarching PMO and Change & Communication function to support functional and regional deployment.
Results: Programme successfully recovered with 24 operating units using a single standard ERP template transactionally supported across Finance & Accounting, Human Resources and Professional Services from an outsource Shared Services Centre.
